Exodus 19
The mountain quaked and flashed with fire, the prophet shook with fear,
The people trembled at the thought that God was drawing near,
The terrifying trumpet warned them not to touch the ground;
When God descended to the earth His presence was profound.Exodus 32
The Law of perfect holiness emerged from Sinai’s smoke;
And God’s demands of righteousness condemned them as He spoke.
Three thousand sinners lost their lives the day it took effect;
And Moses broke the sacred stones before the camp was wrecked.Acts 2:1-13
But when the Holy Spirit came a different sound was heard,
As fervent tongues of fire appeared to spread the joyful word;
And visitors from far and near felt free to come around,
To seek the source and feel the power of such a mighty sound.Acts 2:14-47
The grace of God was offered to the crowd that killed His Son,
And peace was preached to every soul in spite of what they’d done,
Three thousand sinners bowing there, repented of their sin;
