Not In Vain

Not In Vain“Therefore ... be steadfast, immovable, always knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV

“Not in vain” is any service Offered in the Savior’s name, Who to rescue fallen sinners To this world of ruin came. Jesus values each redeemed one, And their praise and worship too, Every service that they render Precious is, in heaven's view.
“Not in vain” the little duties Which seem small in eyes of man, Helpful deeds of love and kindness Never will escape His scan. Just to speak a “word in season” To a lonely heart and sad, Pointing to the Lord who loves them, Who alone can make them glad.
To encourage one another, With some thought, or deed, or word; Jesus values every action Gladly done, as to the Lord. “Not unrighteous” is our Savior To forget these deeds of love, To Himself, and one another – All will find reward above.
Be not weary, faint not, fear not – God assures in language plain, Any service done for Jesus Never will be done in vain. By Tom Westwood
