Our Children And The Future
“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king's command.” Hebrews 11:23 NKJV
Isn’t every child beautiful in his or her parents’ eyes? Was it something peculiar to Moses, or was it his parents’ value of him as given from God, that they obeyed God rather than men? When they looked at the baby Moses, did they not see God’s faithfulness in giving them a child at that time of distress, rather than man’s wrath in seeking to destroy him along with all the baby boys of their nation? God was able to do what He did with Moses because his parents were faithful with what God gave them.
Are we much different? Should we not look at every child given to us by God and see His love and faithfulness to us, rather than the trouble, heartache, and expense they may cause? When we consider Moses’ life, we might say that he was in training for the first?eighty years of his life before God got hold of him and used him for His glory. And you thought your child had a long way to go!

Prayer For Our Children Into Thy gracious hands we now commend them,
For that rich blessing Thou alone canst give;
And pray that they may grow in grace and knowledge,
And, for Thy glory, henceforth seek to live. By Alfred P. Gibbs
