The Oil Press
The Oil Press Some say the olive tree can never die.
Some even say the olives growing high
Above Jerusalem towards the east
Have outlived kings and kingdoms long deceased.
It may be so, but one thing is for sure,
The purest oil was never half so pure
As Christ who prayed in pain when deathlike woe
Bestormed His holy, anguished soul – and so
The trees outlived the King who would outlive
The trees when He had risen to forgive
Those sinners which had hanged Him on a tree.
For it must be that every eye shall see
His wounded feet upon Mount Olivet
When He returns to reign, for He lives yet!

The Mount Of Olives “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives,
which is before Jerusalem on the east,
and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof
toward the east and toward the west,
and there shall be a very great valley;
and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north,
and half of it toward the south.”
Zechariah 14:4
