“Here is a little poem of thankfulness.”
November 2020 – Grace & Truth Magazine
I appreciate your time and work in ministry. Here is a little poem of thankfulness:
I’m thankful for the hard mattress I sleep on; Some only have hard ground.
I’m thankful for the cell I sleep in – warm, dry, safe; Some have no heat, no shelter nor security.
I’m thankful for the food I receive – not like Mom’s, but it is from God the Father and is plentiful; Some beg, scrounge or even go without.
I’m thankful for friends, family, volunteers and ministries who give so much to help; Some are persecuted, imprisoned and even killed, learning and speaking His Word.
This prison I am in is not a paradise, but it is the way He has in His plan for me; And He has blessed me with the gifts of His love –
For all this, I am thankful. —Mississippi, USA
