Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come
“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.” On earth, O God, when reigns Thy Son: Then men from pride and strife shall cease; Repent, receive the Prince of Peace.
Thy judgments first will purge this earth; Famine and drought and deadly dearth. Then contrite men, and nations all, Before the feet of Jesus fall.
O, how the earth revives anew; Peace, hope and joy shall fall as dew; Deserts shall blossom as the rose – The Tree of Life on earth then grows.
Lion and lamb in peace shall dwell; Rivers and springs their banks do swell. The blind shall see, the lame shall leap, And dumb shall sing – God’s word shall keep.
Floors full of wheat and wine and oil; God’s just desserts for all who toil. Vineyard and field their bounty spills; Cedar and fir enrich the hills.
Creation joins in one accord, Raising its song to Christ the Lord. Gone is the hunger, thirst and pain; Jesus, the righteous King, doth reign.By T. M. Clement, Jr.
