PSALM 39
Search Me, O God
Lord, Thou hast searched, and known my ways afar; Thy wisdom's higher than the farthest star: It is too high and wonderful for me; I bow and worship, Lord, my Surety.
Where shall I go and from Thy presence flee? E'en wings of morning cannot set me free; Nor can the sea with all its varied shore, Hide from the eyes of God for evermore.
How precious, Lord, are all Thy thoughts to me! Countless their number pouring down from Thee. Thou knowest all, tho' dark may seem my way, Yet in Thy presence, Lord, night turns to day.
Search me, O God, and know my heart today: Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts I pray; See if there be some grievous way in me, Lead me in righteousness, and liberty.
